- Producing discharge summaries, history and physical examination reports, operative reports, consultation reports, autopsy reports, diagnostic imaging studies, progress notes and referral letters.
- Editing materials for grammar and clarity, if necessary.
- Looking for inconsistencies and errors in reports and check with the physician or healthcare professional in order to correct them.
- Providing timely and effective feedback to team members regarding their inconsistencies and errors in reports and making them understand the seriousness of their errors.
Returning transcribed documents to the physicians or other healthcare professionals who dictated them for review and signature, or correction.
